During one of our client coaching sessions we looked at how the titles of the pages can impact the quality and number of results you get from your google search.  In this particular case we had noticed that Iain at Ashmorebuilt builders had managed to get some clicks from the phrase “barn conversion northampton“.

But what next?

Generally 8 out of 10 people will read headline copy, but only 2 out of 10 will read the rest. This is the secret to the power of the headline, and why it so highly determines the effectiveness of the entire piece.

Also dont forget that:

80% of people buy on pure emotion
People deep down always ask “Whats in it for me”

Based on this, Iains next article has changed from:

To this:

Much more clickable and will stand out a mile from other results in that search.
