As anybody who runs a webserver knows getting your domain tagged or server tagged as Spam can be a nightmare, luckily there’s a solution that helps stop these kind of problems.

SPF records live on the servers that send your emails out and they describe which other servers are allowed to send email. What this means in real terms is that it prevents spammers from pretending they are sending emails from your domain name.

You can check if you have an spf records set up on your server using the SPF checker tool.

If  it shows you havent been setup speak to your webhost, pointing them to this  spf wizard tool.

If like me you use google to manage your email you to let them know to add “include:aspmx.googlemail.com” to the spf record.
